Slipstream - Parking collaboration - Wen Jun, Geoff Hogg, Michal Teague

One of the welcome aspects of the Parking project was an invitation to collaborate on a cover with visiting traditional chinese artist Wen Jun and his long time collaborator Geoff Hogg. Wen Jun included many auspicious symbols to convey good luck and blessings to the community where the cover would reside during the 10 days of the Big West Festival. I decided to continue the celestial theme of his work by incorporating a map of the Southern Hemisphere sky at night, while Geoff Hogg stencilled a running man, camouflaged into the overall artwork.

Infringement - cover produced for Parking - Big West Festival 2009

Parking was an independent public arts event devised and curated for the 2009 Big West Festival. It comprised a set on 10 covers made by artists that were installed on cars while parked throughout the Western Region of Melbourne. I created Infringement by handknitting the red and white plastic safety tape commonly used to annex public space.
